Bottles of Corona Beer packs recalled due to glass fragments

Beer manufacturer Corona Extra issued a recall of some of its packed beer products in the U.S. due to potential glass fragment contamination inside its bottles, an article of KTLA5 said on August 20.

In a statement on coronausa.com “a production error” was discovered in one of their outsourced manufacturing facilities, which led to the recall of the 6-, 12-, and 18-beer packages of Corona Extra Beer. There was no more than 1% of the bottles affected by the recall, according to Corona representatives.

The company provided a full list of codes of the affected products that can be found on the top part of the bottle. People who might have purchased the affected beer packs were advised to throw it away and call a consumer call center for a refund. Other products of Corona beer were not affected by the recall.
