American car manufacturer Chrysler recently stated that they are now recalling vehicles with Takata airbags in additional states and territories, a December 12 article on The Detroit News stated.

Reports said Chrysler decided to recall an additional 208,783 vehicles with Takata airbags installed in the front passenger side. The additional vehicles named in the recall are located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas and three U.S. territories. Since June, the automaker has issued recall to approximately 617,000 vehicles. Chrysler is one of the 10 auto manufacturers recalling vehicles with Takata airbags. Takata’s faulty airbags are reportedly capable of bursting and forcefully expelling metal fragments; this has been linked to several deaths and injuries.
