Fall hazard prompts Primal Vantage to recall its hunters’ tree stands

Primal Vantage announced a voluntary safety recall of approximately 1,000 Ameristep Hyde Cliff Hanger and Sky Walker Tree after learning about six reports that its cast aluminum platform may break and cause severe fall-related injuries, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported on January 29.

The affected Ameristep Hyde Sky Walker has a model number of 2RX1H009C and a date code JH-2014-3-6. On the other hand, the recalled Ameristep Hyde Cliff Hanger has a model number 2RX1H008C and a date code JH-2014-3-6. The recalled units were sold at Bass Pro Shops and other sporting apparel shops between July and November 2014.

Consumers are asked not to use the product and to contact the company for refund details.
