Former American athlete and television personality Bruce Jenner was not hurt after he recently got involved in a vehicular collision in Malibu that resulted in one dead and seven people taken to the hospital, ESPN reported on February 9.

Reports said the deadly accident happened on the afternoon of February 7 on the Pacific Coast Highway, west of Pepperdine University. The vehicle occupied by Jenner reportedly struck a northbound vehicle from behind. The vehicle reportedly went into the opposite lane and was struck by another vehicle. Vehicle driver 69-year-old Kim Howe was declared dead on the spot.

Sergeant Philip Brooks of the Los Angeles County Sheriff stated that Jenner cooperated with authorities and that he was not under the influence of intoxicants when the accident occurred. Investigating authorities may request the mobile phones of the people involved to determine whether distracted driving was a factor in the fatal collision.
