The Minnesota State Patrol recently released the names of two men involved in a fatal two-vehicle crash that happened in Mower County on February 11, KIMT TV 3 reported.

Sadly, the life of 23-year old Minnesota man Derel Soltau of Le Roy was claimed in the truck accident. According to the authorities, the semi-truck accident was reported at around 8:23 a.m. at milepost 26 on U.S. Highway 63, south of Stewartville. A tractor-trailer vehicle was heading north when it slammed into a 2004 Chevrolet Impala driving south. Soltau, the driver of the car, was killed. Meanwhile, the driver of the tractor, Mario Salinas, was not harmed.

Investigators have yet to identify the exact underlying cause of the accident, although extreme winds and icy roads might have contributed to the tragic incident.
