Detox Transforms Health and Nutrition announced a nationwide consumer-level recall of five of its dietary supplements after tests revealed undeclared drug ingredients that could pose potentially life-threatening health risks, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration reported.

The company recalled Amplified Weight Release, AMPD Gold Bee Pollen, iNDiGO, BtRim Max, and Bee Pollen for unlisted drug ingredients. Analyses by the FDA shows iNDiGO and BtRim Max contain undeclared phenolphthalein, which may cause severe gastrointestinal disorders and even cancer with long term use. Meanwhile, EDGE Amplified Weight Release and iNSANE Bee Pollen were found to contain undeclared Fluozetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor that may cause suicidal ideation and seizures. AMPD Gold Bee Pollen, on the other hand, was found to contain sildenafil which may cause severe symptoms when used in concomitant with certain medications.

The company is in close coordination with the FDA to address the safety issue. Affected consumers are asked to visit their physician if they experience any symptom that could be associated with the drugs.
