The National Choice Bakery is recalling certain bagel brands after learning that the ingredients used in the baking of these products might contain undeclared peanuts or tree nuts, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) revealed on Tuesday, February 10.

Affected bagel brands sold in Wisconsin are Market Pantry REFRIGERATED Bagels, L’Oven Fresh Mini Bagels, and Essential Everyday REFRIGERATED Bagels. Consumers are urged to visit the FDA’s website to see the package count, variety, UPC and Best By Dates of the recalled brands.

Affected consumers are advised to immediately discard the recalled packages and to call the company for further information.

Undeclared tree nuts and peanuts may cause allergic reactions that can sometimes be fatal.
