Over 270,000 aluminum hand trucks with faulty wheel hubs were recalled in the U.S. after several complaints of injuries surfaced, an Eyewitness News article reported on February 26.
The recall affects the Cosco 3-in-1 hand trucks made of aluminum that are sold at various stores nationwide. Intended users reportedly are at risk of sustaining injuries if the wheel hub of the affected trolleys suddenly falls off. At least four incidents of injuries were received by Cosco before the recall. Owners of the recalled hand trucks are instructed to notify the company to receive a repair kit at no cost.
