The manufacturer of the Dirt Devil Scorpion Turbo Quick Flip Hand Vac Turbo Tool accessory is recalling about 22,000 of its units after receiving reports of breakage of the Turbo Tool accessory’s interior fan, posing a laceration hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported on March 4.

The affected products were sold between January 2012 and February 2015 at various home improvement shops nationwide and on several online sites, such as Walmart.com and Amazon.com. The recalled products have a Royal Appliance Label on the bottom of the hand vacuum, where model number 08225 and a manufacturing date code that ends with 12A U, 13A U, 13B U or 14B U are printed. Ohio-based Royal Appliance Manufacturing Co. has already received six reports of fan breakage. No injuries have been associated with the issue.
