Choking risk prompts rocker recall

Posted on March 23, 2015 9:08 am under Defective Child Care Products

Kansas-based juvenile and kids furniture seller Levels of Discovery is recalling its Fly Boy Airplane Rocker after learning that some small parts of the product may detach and cause choking, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) stated on March 12.

According to the CPSC, two small red knobs on the rocker’s steering console might detach and pose a choking hazard to kids. The recall covers about 150 Fly Boy Airplane Rockers, which have model number RAB0038 stamped on the underside of the rocker seat. The products were sold in children’s stores across the U.S. from June to November 2014.

Although no injuries have been reported, the company already received two reports of the knobs detaching from the chair. Consumers are asked to contact the company immediately for a free replacement console.
