Approximately 5,600 CreaMiser refrigerated coffee creamer dispensers are being recalled by Arizona-based CreaMiser after receiving reports that a relay inside the machine might overheat and cause fire, according to a report by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on March 17.
The affected products have model numbers 200, 210, and 400 with certain serial numbers, both of which can be found on a white sticker or metal name plate located at the back of the dispenser. The products were sold to different distributors between January 2001 and November 2003, and have been in use at convenience stores, cafeterias, hospitals, restaurants, hotels, and other facilities nationwide.
The company received five reports of melted thermometers and two reports of fire. Owners of the affected products are advised to unplug the machine and contact CreaMiser for a free repair.
