Spinrite is recalling approximately 620,000 Bernat Tizzy Yarn products after receiving reports that the yarn in a finished crochet or knit item might snag and form a loop, putting young children at risk of strangulation, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) stated on March 19.
The recalled products were sold in 11 colors at different craft retail stores nationwide from April 2012 to February 2015. The CPSC also released the list of the affected UPC codes, which can be found printed under the barcode on the paper sleeve. Consumers are advised not to allow their kids to use items made from the yarn, and to contact the company for a full refund.
