Patio rocking chairs recalled due to fall hazard

Posted on April 8, 2015 12:05 pm under Product Liability

About 25,000 patio set rocking chairs are being recalled by the distributor Dimension Industries after learning that the patio sets might break and cause fall hazards to users, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a report on April 8.

The company learned about the issue after receiving three reports of breakage. The recall covers Home Depot’s Hampton Bay-branded Niles Park Collection patio sets. The chairs were sold at Home Depot stores nationwide and online at HomeDepot.com between October 2014 and January 2015. SKU number 658479, 658480, 658485, 658486, 662696, 682688 or 1000051056 can be found on a label located at a cross bar at the back of the chairs.

Consumers are asked to refrain from using the product and to contact Dimension Industries to learn how to receive a full refund.
