The San Pedro Manufacturing Company of Atlanta, Georgia is recalling its mattresses, including those with foundations, after learning that the products failed the required federal open flame standard, placing the consumers at risk of fires, a report by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission stated on April 14.
The recall involves about 4,800 mattresses and mattresses with foundations in twin, full, queen and king sizes sold at different furniture and home improvement shops nationwide from May 2013 to January 2014. A white federal tag and a yellow state tag with the texts “San Pedro Manufacturing Company, 1041 La Grange Blvd. Atlanta, Georgia 30336” can be found at the foot of the mattresses.
Consumers are asked to contact the company to arrange a time to pick the mattress up for repair.
