NY-based Beech-Nut Nutrition has issued a nationwide voluntary recall of about 1,920 pounds of baby food product “Stage 2 Beech-Nut CLASSICS sweet potato & Chicken” over fears that the products might be contaminated with small pieces of glass, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service revealed on April 14.

The company learned about the possible contamination after receiving a complaint about a broken piece of glass found inside one of the jars. The company has already received one report of oral injury associated with the recall. The affected products were produced on December 14, 2014, and have an expiration date of “DEC 2016.” Product numbers covered by the recall are 12395750815 to 12395750821.
