OWT Industries Inc. is recalling thousands of its Expert Gardener 12 amp electric blower vacuums after learning that the products run the risks of sparking, overheating, and catching fire, potentially causing injury to users, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission revealed on April 16.

According to the report, approximately 225,000 units are affected by the recall. Defective electric blower vacuums have model numbers 20254EG, 20254EGA, 20254EGB, 20254EGBC, 20254EGC and 21254EG, located on the left side of the motor housing. The words “Expert Gardener” and “Blower Vac 2 Speed Quiet 150 MPH Powerful 220 MPH” can be seen on the plastic blower tube and on the motor housing.

The products were distributed at different Wal-Mart outlets nationwide between January 2012 and March 2015. Consumers are asked to return the affected products to any Wal-Mart store for a full refund.
