A teenage boy was killed in a two-vehicle accident that took place in Milwaukee on April 22, according to an ABC 12 article.
Information provided by Lieutenant Mark Stanmeyer of the Milwaukee Police Department revealed that the car accident happened at around 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of South Taylor and East Euclid Avenues. Police believe that pickup truck driver Ricardo Santillan, 17, attempted to leave his vehicle to check on a mechanical problem when a northbound Honda Civic struck the truck. Santillan was thrown out of the vehicle in the crash and sadly succumbed to death before reaching the hospital. Three other occupants in the pickup truck were all uninjured, and the unnamed 59-year-old driver of the other vehicle was also not hurt in the crash.
A neighbor, Jackie Thompson, initially alerted the police to the incident. Milwaukee police officials are attempting to determine more details surrounding the accident. The article did not indicate whether anyone was cited at the scene.
