Felt Bicycles recalled due to defective brakes

Posted on May 8, 2015 11:48 am under Bicycle Accidents

California-based Felt Bicycles is recalling about 200 Felt Cruiser bicycles after receiving 26 reports of failing brakes, posing risk of injurious, possibly even fatal crashes, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported on May 1.

The affected Felt Cruiser bicycles are models Felt Deep Six and El Guapo bicycles, which have serial numbers YI31106188 and YI31106287; as well as YI31106288 and YI31106387, respectively. The serial number can be found on the bicycle’s bottom bracket. The affected products were sold at bicycle stores across the U.S. between June 2014 and March 2015.

Consumers are strongly advised not to use the product and to contact a local Felt bicycle dealer for free inspection and component replacement.

At Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ®, victims of bicycle-related accidents caused by a defective part can seek help in possibly filing a legal claim against the manufacturer involved. To learn if we might be able to help you, call our Wisconsin office at (414) 271-0900 today.
