Minnesota-based Waymouth Farms Inc. issued a nationwide consumer level recall of its RAW PINE NUTS products, sold in different sizes, over fears of Salmonella contamination, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported on April 27.
A press statement by the agency revealed the list of the packaging, size, UPC, “Freshest if Used by” date, and range affected by the recall. The products were made available at different retail outlets nationwide and through mail order under the Good Sense brand. The recall was issue after a 4-ounce package tested positive for Salmonella during one of the FDA’s routine tests.
