California-based Cost Plus Management Services Inc. is recalling approximately 125,000 of its twist swivel stools after learning that the joint attaching the stool steal to the center post might break, posing the risk of injurious falls, the U.S. Consumer Safety Product Commission (CPSC) stated on May 12.
The recalled products have an SKU number of 438000 located on the underside of the wood seat. The stools were sold at Cost Plus World Market and World Market outlets nationwide and online between February 2011 and February 2015. The company has already received 12 reports of weld joints breaking. No injuries have been reported yet. Affected customers are urged to return the product for a full refund.
