Inmate succumbed to injuries after Fresno County Jail blast

One of the 13 inmates of Fresno County Jail who were injured in a recent natural gas explosion succumbed to his injuries on May 11, according to an article on The Fresno Bee website.

Reports said Sanger resident Jeremiah Espino, 52, was hospitalized after a natural gas pipe from Pacific Gas & Electric Co. (PG&E) exploded on April 17. The erupted pipeline was situated at a gun range near San Joaquin River. approximately 200 feet of fire was seen at the back portion of the shooting range. Although the exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined, heavy equipment was being used just above the pipelines when the blast occurred. PG&E expressed their condolences to the Espino family and the 12 others who suffered injuries.
