Weight benches recalled due to fears of breakage

Posted on May 20, 2015 9:24 am under Product Liability

Valor Athletics Inc. of Florida is recalling its weight bench units after learning that the weld attaching the front leg to the main frame could detach, causing the risk of fall, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) stated on May 20.

According to the report, 100 Valor Fitness BF-38 Flat/Incline/Decline Olympic Benches are affected by the recall. The products have a gray steel frame and black back pads, as well as multi-position seats. The items were sold between January 2014 and September 2014 at Valorathleticsinc.com and Valorfitness.com. Customers are asked to contact Valor Fitness for details about getting a free repair.

Injuries associated with defective weight benches, such as slipped disk and bone fracture, may result in compromised physical health, lost time at work, and hefty medical bills. A Wisconsin-based lawyer at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® might be able to help you file a claim against the negligent product manufacturer involved.
