Children seat recalled due to defective stitches on restraint straps

Posted on May 22, 2015 11:25 am under Defective Child Care Products

About 25,000 OXO Nest Booster Seats are being recalled due to stitches on the seats’ restraint straps that might come undone, posing the risk of an injurious fall to young children, according to a report by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on May 21.

The affected products were sold in four different colors: green (model 6367200), orange (model 6367400), pink (model 6367300), and taupe (model 6367500), and bear the date code 0714, 0814, 0914, 1014, 1114 or 1214. The date code and the model number can be found printed on a sticker at the underside of the product. To date, the company has already received five reports of straps detaching from the seat due to loosened stitches.

Customers affected by the recall are asked to contact the company for details on how to obtain a free repair kit.
