Cycling Sports Group is recalling about 160 of its 2015 GT downhill mountain bikes after learning that the front wheel hub might break, causing the disc brake system to fail, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) stated on May 28.
According to the report, 2015 GT Fury Elite and 2015 GT Fury Expert are covered by the recall. The bicycles were sold at authorized GT dealers nationwide between November 2014 and March 2015. To date, the company has received two reports of breakage, although no injuries have been associated with the issue.
Affected consumers should return the defective product to the nearest GT dealer for a no-cost front wheel replacement.
