Earthwise 17 cordless mowers recalled over risk of injuries

Posted on May 28, 2015 11:48 am under Product Liability

Indiana-based Great States Corporation is recalling approximately 1,200 of its Earthwise cordless 17-inch electric lawn mowers after finding out that the product may still start even if the key is not in the starting position, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported on May 28.

The affected product has a product number of 60517 on the back of its motor cover, and the labels “Earthwise” and “17” are printed on the front of the product. The defective mowers were sold from January 2014 to May 2014 at different Menards outlets and Seventh Avenue catalogs, as well as online at PowerSales.com.

Consumers should immediately disengage the battery of the recalled product and contact the company for a replacement mower at no cost.

Defective power tools on the market may pose a safety threat to consumers using it. To learn more about filing a claim after being hurt by a defective product in Milwaukee, contact a product liability lawyer at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® by calling (414) 271-0900 today.
