Safety tips for entering traffic from a parked position

Posted on June 6, 2015 12:14 pm under Car Accidents

Moving your parked car back into traffic could be dangerous if done recklessly. In fact, many road accidents in the country happen when the driver of a parked car tries to enter traffic without letting other drivers know of his intention to do so, or without yielding the right of way.

To avoid accidents when entering traffic, engage your turning signal light before entering the roadway. This would tell approaching cars of your intent to merge with traffic. Additionally, you have to remember that approaching cars always have the right of way. If you are parked on the side of the road, approaching cars on your left should go first.

In some cases, however, injurious car accidents happen due to a reckless driver trying to merge into traffic. Unfortunately, dealing with the physical, emotional and financial repercussions of an injurious road accident caused by driver negligence can be very taxing. At Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ®, we help car accident victims file a claim against the offending party involved. Call our Milwaukee office at (414) 271-0900 for a free case assessment today.
