Tri-Vista Designs Inc. has issued a nationwide voluntary recall of about 10,000 16-oz Metallic Monogram Beverage Mugs after receiving one report of a mug sparking while in the microwave, posing a fire safety risk, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported on June 11.
The affected product has “Retail: $6.99,” “SKU # 138837,” and “UPC # 698617673962” found on a sticker at the bottom of the cup. The recalled cups are designed with letters A, B, C, D, E, G, H, J, K, L, M, R, S, or T. They were sold at different Kirkland’s outlets nationwide between March 2015 and May 2015. Consumers are asked to return the product for a complete refund.
