All lots of 430 mg/capsule Pyrola Advanced Joint Formula are being recalled after it was discovered that the products contain undeclared drug ingredients, thereby increasing the risk of adverse health effects and allergic reactions, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stated on June 12.
The recalled products contain diclofenac, a drug associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular and gastrointestinal disorders. The products also contain chlorpheniramine, an OTC anti-histamine drug that may cause decreased mental alertness and drowsiness. The affected medicines were sold online and through phone orders nationwide between April 2013 and June 2015.
Consumers who have purchased the product are asked to dispose of it or return it by mail to G&C Natural Nutrition, Inc.
