Classroom stools recalled over reports of breakage

Greenville, Wisconsin-based School Specialty Inc. is recalling approximately 1,350 of its Classroom Select NeoRock Stools due to a fall hazard, as the stools may break, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission stated on June 24.

The recalled classroom stools were made available in 15-inch, 18-inch, and 20-inch sizes with Item Numbers 1496633, 1496340, and 1496342, respectively. They were sold in different catalogs nationwide, including School Specialty Furniture and Equipment, Classroom Direct, School Specialty Early Childhood, and School Specialty Education Essentials. They were also sold online at www.schoolspecialty.com and were made available in five colors: green, orange, light blue, red, and navy blue.

The company has already received two reports of breakage. Consumers will be contacted by the company for a free replacement product.
