Approximately 2,000 Yamaha Golf Cars and Personal Transportation Vehicles (PTV) are being recalled over fears of the front wheel hub breaking, posing a risk of injury to bystanders and users, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reported on June 30.

Six models are affected by the recall: 2015 The Drive PTV, The Drive EFI, Adventure One, The DRIVE and The DRIVE Electric, and 2016 The DRIVE A.C. The vehicles were made available in different colors, including red, white, green, and silver, and were sold from April 2015 to June 2015 at different Yamaha Golf Car dealers nationwide. The affected model and serial numbers are listed on the CPSC website.

The company is currently contacting registered owners. Affected consumers are asked to contact the nearest Yamaha dealer for a free scheduled repair.
