E-Z-GO is recalling approximately 8,200 of its golf cars, shuttles, and off-road utility cars due to a leaky gas tank that may catch fire and cause burn injuries, according to a report by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on June 30.

Recalled models include E-Z-GO Freedom TXT, TXT2+2 and Valor golf cars, E-Z-GO gas-powered TXT Fleet golf cars, E-Z-GO Express, E-Z-GO Terrain and Cushman Shuttle vehicle. The names Cushman or E-Z-GO can be found on the cars’ front panel. The affected models were manufactured between January 2015 and May 2015 and sold at different Cushman and E-Z-GO dealers nationwide. The date code, which can be located below the driver seat, has a final two-digit code that corresponds to the production year.
