Frozen tuna products recalled due to presence of salmonella

Posted on July 20, 2015 9:27 am under Food Defects

Gardena, California-based Osamu Corporation is recalling all of its frozen tuna products after learning that the products sourced from one of its facilities in Indonesia that tested positive for salmonella, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stated on July 20.

The affected products were sold in bulk to different distributors and were made available to sushi restaurants and grocery stores that package sushi rolls across the country. The affected products were sold between May 9, 2014 and July 7, 2015, and have sequential four digit Purchase Order Numbers ranging from 8563 to 8599.

Consumers who believe they have purchased the recalled product should check with the place of purchase to determine if the store has used the recalled product.
