Tristan glass pitchers recalled due to 50 reports of breakage

Seattle, Washington-based Teavana Corp. is recalling about 52,000 64 oz. Tristan glass pitchers for hot or cold tea after receiving reports that the defective products may break, causing risks of laceration and burn, according to a report by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on July 22.

The affected products have Style # 30593000064 and SKU#11034874 located on the product’s packaging. The recalled pitchers were sold at different Teavana stores nationwide and online at Teavana.com. To date, the company has received 50 reports of breakage, which resulted in two incidents of minor burns and three incidents of lacerations.

Customers are asked to contact the company for a 66 oz. infusion tea pitcher at no cost plus a Teavana giftcard worth $25, or a Teavana gift card worth the purchase price plus tax.
