One lot of Frozen Tuna Yellow Fin Chunk Meat is being recalled by Osamu Corporation after learning that the products sourced from a processing plant in Indonesia might contain Salmonella, a report by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration stated on Tuesday, July 21.

The recalled products were sold to AFC Corporation, which has sushi franchises in different grocery stores nationwide. The affected meat products have Lot #68568 and were sold to AFC between May 20 and May 26 this year.

Children, elderly, and people with weak immune system exposed to Salmonella are at higher risk of life-threatening infections. Additionally, food products contaminated with Salmonella may cause diarrhea, fever, abdominal pain, and nausea among healthy individuals.
