Kraft Singles recalled over reports of choking

Four Kraft Singles American and White American pasteurized prepared products are being recalled after receiving customer complaints that the individual packaging film may stick to the slice, potentially causing choking hazard, a report by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration stated on Friday, July 31.

Affected products have a Manufacturing Code of S54 or S55, and a Best When Used by Date between 29 DEC 15 and 04 JAN 16. About 36,000 cases of these products were distributed to different retailers in the U.S., Grand Cayman, and Puerto Rico. To date, the company has received 10 reports of packaging film adhering, three of which resulted in choking.
