Illinois-based Deere & Company is recalling about 1,700 John Deere lawn tractors due to a defective brake arm that may fall and pose crash hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reported on Tuesday, August 4.
Model numbers affected are D110, D125, D130, D140, D155, D160 and D160. The recalled lawn tractors have serial numbers beginning with 1GXD, which can be found under the fender of the left rear tire. John Deere lawn tractors were sold between May 2015 and August 2015 at different Lowe’s, Home Depot and other authorized dealers nationwide.
Affected consumers should contact a John Deere dealer to schedule a free repair.
