Disney Store USA recalls pencil cases due to ingestion hazard

Posted on August 6, 2015 2:12 pm under Defective Child Care Products

About 300 Gadget Pencil Cases are being recalled by Disney Store USA, LLC, after learning that the two magnets from the case’s lid may detach, causing ingestion hazard, according to a report by U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission stated on Wednesday, August 5.

When the two magnets are ingested, they may bind inside the child’s intestines and cause serious injuries. The products were sold during June 2015 at different Disney Stores nationwide in four different designs: Multi princess, Miles from Tomorrowland, Cars, and Averngers.

Customers are advised to take the defective pencil cases away from children, and to contact the company for a complete refund.
