Table saws recalled over fears of laceration

Posted on August 19, 2015 9:12 am under Product Liability

About 1,240 Grizzly 10-inch hybrid table saws are being recalled after learning about a loosened motor pulley that may hit the table saw blade, breaking the metal into tiny pieces and posing a laceration hazard, according to a report by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Wednesday, August 19.

To date, the product’s manufacturer, Grizzly Industrial Inc., has already received two reports associated with the issue, one of which resulted in lacerations and a broken nose. The affected products have model number G0771 and serial numbers between TS2014060001 and TS2014111244, both of which can be located on the side of the product’s enclosed white metal base.

The affected products were sold at different Grizzly showrooms and online between January 2015 and May 2015. Consumers are asked to return the defective table saws for a complete refund, a free repair, or a free replacement motor pulley kit.
