Reports of overheating and melting prompt Osram Sylvania, Inc. to recall about 46,300 white, cylindrical T8 LED lamps, a report by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) stated on Tuesday, August 25.

Affected products have model number 73312-1 or 73315-1 printed on a silver sticker found at the end of the lamps. The recalled lights were sold at Osram Sylvania commercial and industrial distributors from December 2014 to May 2015. The company has already received 34 reports of lamps overheating and melting.

Customers are asked to stop using the product and to contact the company immediately for a free replacement.
