Approximately 500 Tour Nanotech Automatic and Tour Nanotech Semi-Automatic crampons are being recalled by Colorado-based CAMP USA Inc. after learning that the gear’s heel bail may detach, posing risk of injurious fall among consumers, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported on Wednesday, August 26.

To date, the company has received one report associated with the issue. Affected products were sold between June 2013 and June 2015 at different specialty outdoor stores nationwide and online at camp-usa.com, mountaingear.com, and backcountry.com. Consumers are asked to contact the company immediately for a pair of replacement crampons at no cost.
