Broomfield, Colorado-based CAMP USA Inc. is recalling its Blade Runner Alpine and Cassin Blade Runner crampons used for ice climbing after receiving reports that the supports of the crampon’s points may break, placing users at risk of fall hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported on Wednesday, August 26.

The recalled sports apparels were sold at different specialty outdoor stores and retailers across the U.S. and online at backcountry.com, mountaingear.com, and camp-usa.com between June 2013 and June 2015. According to the report, the company has already received three reports of supports breaking, none of which resulted in physical injury.

Customers are warned to discontinue the use of the product and to contact the company for details in receiving free replacement parts.
