Infant carrier and stand recalled over fall risk

Posted on September 2, 2015 11:58 am under Defective Child Care Products

Sleeping Partners International Inc. of New York has issued a nationwide recall of approximately 5,500 Tadpoles Baby and Kids Moses baskets and 800 stands after the products failed to meet the bassinet/cradle standard, posing a fall risk among infants, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported on Wednesday, September 2.

According to the report, the hand-held infant carrier may slide off when placed on an inclined surface. The stand, on the other hand, may tip and cause the basket to fall. The defective products were sold at Buybuy Baby and Babies R Us, and online at Kohls.com, Quidsi.com, Bellacor.com, Wayfair.com, Zulily.com and Amazon.com between June 2014 and July 2015.

Consumers are asked to refrain from using the product and to contact the company about the details on how to return the products and receive store credit.
