A Wisconsin-based company issued a recall for an estimated 89,235 pounds of meat products that may contain metal particles, the U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) reported.
The recall affects the Johnsonville Grillers frozen “pork sausage patty” products of Kenosha Beef International LTD. The affected meat products may contain foreign materials. The company issued the recall after they were notified by some consumers that there were metal-like fragments in the products. The company and the FSIS have not received any incidents of injuries or illnesses from consuming the recalled products. Aside from Wisconsin, the meat products made last May were also distributed in 10 other states. Consumers are advised to immediately throw away the affected products or return them to the point of purchase.
