BRP US, Inc. of Sturtevant, Wisconsin announced a recall of their Youth model Can-Am all-terrain vehicles upon learning that the fuel filter is prone to breaking and leaking, which could create a fire hazard.
About 240 units from the 2015 and 2016 model years were recalled after the company received eight reports of fuel filters breaking and leaking, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. No injuries have been reported as of yet.
The vehicles were manufactured in Vietnam and were sold at Can-Am dealers nationwide from May 2015 to September 2015. Owners of affected vehicles should discontinue use at once and contact a BRP dealer to get an appointment for a free repair.
BRP will directly contact registered consumers about the recall.
