Driver critically injured in Appleton rear-end accident

A vehicle driver is in critical condition after his recent involvement in an accident that occurred in Appleton, Wisconsin on the morning of Wednesday, October 7.

According to reports, an 84-year-old male driver from Fond du Lac County was on Highway 441 north of College Avenue when a second vehicle, driven by a 62-year-old man from Kaukauna, crashed into the rear of his vehicle. The Fond du Lac man’s vehicle then flipped several times over an embankment after it veered off of the highway. The Kaukauna man was reportedly driving erratically before the crash took place, and collided with the other vehicle during an attempt to change lanes.

The Appleton Police were assisted by state authorities in responding to the crash.
