Big Game tree stands recalled

Posted on October 29, 2015 2:55 pm under Product Liability

Approximately 12,200 units of Big Game’s 2014 climbing tree stands were recalled in an announcement posted on October 20. The cable assembly on the stand may release and cause users to fall and injure themselves. The manufacturer was notified of one case of the cable releasing that resulted in the user sustaining injuries to the knee, hip, and wrist.

The models involved in the recall are batch 9B-0414 of the CL050 “The Outlook,” 9B-0214 and 9B-0514 of the CL100-A “The Cobalt,” and 9B-0214 and 9B-0514 of CL500-AP “The Fusion.” The products were sold nationwide from June 2014 to June 2015 at Bass Pro Shop, Cabela’s, Menards, Rogers Sporting Goods, Sportman Guide stores, and online.

Consumers are advised to stop the use of the recalled tree stand and return them as soon as possible for free replacement cables.
