The elderly man who suffered serious burn injuries in a recent blast inside a Kenosha condo has died, news sources reported on November 5th.

Reports released earlier this month said that James Adamson, 80 years old, suffered second and third-degree burns that spread over many parts of his body after the condominium unit on 54th Street in which he and his wife were living exploded on Tuesday, November 3rd. After being rescued from the burning condo, he was taken to St. Mary’s Burn Center for several days before succumbing to his injuries.

Fire crews responded to calls received from neighboring homes in the vicinity of Harbor Park at about 1:30 a.m. after being notified of an explosion and fire. Adamson’s wife, identified as Rita, 76 years old, was pronounced dead on the scene after she was found inside a bedroom. According to We Energies, a local power company, the blast and fire were not caused by natural gas. Investigating authorities are still attempting to figure out the cause of the fire.
