Drinking tumblers recalled over ingestion hazards

Posted on November 11, 2015 2:57 pm under Product Liability

Approximately 130,000 units of Ignite USA LLC’s Bueno by Contigo Kids Straw Tumblers were recalled on November 10 due to the possibility that pieces of the drinking straw will tear off when chewed on, causing a risk of ingestion to children.

The recalled tumbler has “Bueno by Contigo” written on the packaging and “Bueno” on the cup’s lid. All units have the number 036201 etched on the bottom; the model numbers are printed on the label at the bottom of the cup. The tumblers were sold at Meijer and Target retail stores nationwide from May 2015 until September 2015.

No injuries have been reported in relation to this issue, but consumers are encouraged to stop use of the product and immediately contact the manufacturer for a full refund.
