Approximately 2,000 units of Mahindra USA Inc’s eMax compact diesel tractors were recalled on November 12. Although no injuries have been reported yet, the company has already received 61 complaints regarding cracks in the fuel tank pipe, which could possibly start a fire and lead to serious injuries and property damage.
The recalled product involves a red compact tractor with a black seat, which is designed for residential use. The models recalled include eMax 22G, eMax 22H, and eMax 25H. The complete list of affected serial numbers is provided on the US Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website.
The compact tractors were sold through Mahindra dealers nationwide from March 2014 to September 2015. The manufacturer has advised consumers to discontinue the use of all recalled tractors and to contact authorized Mahindra dealers for a free repair.
