Rocker chairs recalled due to fall risks

Posted on November 21, 2015 8:08 pm under Product Liability

On November 17, Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI) recalled approximately 35,00 units of evrgrn Campfire Rocker Chairs that may tip backwards while rocking and pose a fall risk to the consumer.

The recalled products are collapsible rocking chairs that come in blue, gray, green, and orange fabric. The chair is mounted atop four metal poles with a wooden rocker at the base. The tab on the edge of the fabric is printed with the word “evrgrn.” These items were sold at REI stores nationwide and online at REI.com.

The company has received four reports of children tipping backwards while using the chairs inside the store, although no injuries have been reported yet.

Consumers are encouraged to stop using the rocker chairs. Free replacement or a full refund will be given after contacting REI.
